Shevlin is a small town located in the northwest region of Minnesota, United States. The town is part of Clearwater County and has a population of around 175 people (as of 2020). Shevlin covers an area of approximately 0.39 square miles and is situated near the junction of State Highway 92 and County Road 2. The town was named after local settler and businessman Martin Shevlin, who established the Shevlin Lumber Company in the area. The town is known for its natural beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities, including fishing, hunting, and camping. Shevlin also hosts a popular annual Labor Day celebration that includes a parade, carnival, and other festivities. The nearest larger city is Bemidji, located about 25 miles to the northeast of Shevlin.
